Passed into UK law in January 2013, the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive bans products that contain a high level of hazardous materials from entering the EU market.
Although RoHS is often (mistakenly) used to determine whether or not a product has lead in it, the legislation also restricts the use of other substances as well, such as Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd) and Hexavalent chromium.
Our printed circuit board services – including both conventional and surface mount assemblies – can be done either RoHS or non-RoHS compliant.
